Weekly "Bass" Drop 2/21/2018


Welcome Funky Fans!


Another week of Funk Unplugged development in the books! While we don't have too much to share this week, as we've been working on a lot of under-the-hood stuff, we do have an update on yet another boss, some bug fixes, and skins to show you all.


Run Away!


The Spooky World boss functions quite a bit differently from the others. While the others require you to literally take them head-on, you wouldn't want to do that with the Boodora. One hit from his massive claws will wipe out all of your health. So yeah, we think you should run! This sort of "boss" will feel familiar to anyone who hung out with a certain marsupial in the 90's...




Bug Fixin's


Nothing is more humbling than when people send you long lists of what doesn't work. And wouldn't you know it, that happened several times last week during play tests! Sometimes these errors are small simple ones you'd expect, like not spawning in the right place or an enemy behaves oddly. Sometimes these errors are giant, like half of the objects in a level flashing on and off in ways that seem to make no sense. We figured it would be best to get these fixed before you find them yourself. Other highlights include:


- Invincible Enemies

- Spawning inside of the floor and falling for all of eternity

- The player being "eaten" by transforming objects


Skins get Wins


We know you loved the Valentine's card from last week, and we're happy to say that not only was that a fun card, it will indeed be a skin in the game! We also made a skin this week that is a tribute to a certain galactic emperor. You can unlock both of these in-game, and no, they won't be in loot boxes.



Short-and-sweet update for you all this week! Don't worry, there's plenty more on the way. In the meantime, we'll just leave this here. *hint hint*
